I receive a Belgian pension and I am moving. What will happen to my pension payment? Do I have to do something to keep receiving my pension?
Everything depends on your destination:
- you live in Belgium and you move within Belgium.
- you live abroad and move to Belgium.
- you move abroad.
- You are living abroad and your address abroad changes.

You live in Belgium and you move within Belgium
To ensure that we can pay your pension, you have to do what you normally would do when moving:
- you register with your new municipality. The FPS is automatically informed.
- you have already left your old address and can no longer access the post that is delivered there? The easiest solution: you can find all the letters the FPS has sent you at mypension.beOpens in a new window. Choose electronic communication.
You live abroad and move to Belgium
You have to do two things:
- inform the municipal authority of your new Belgian place of residence so as to have your new address registered in the National Register. The FPS will automatically be informed.
and - Inform the Pensions Service if you change your bank account number or the payment method of your pension.
